Bailiff's Diary: September 2010
w/e 24th September

Lovely start to the week, lots of sun and nice and warm, we had a bit of a storm for the last few days which put the mockers on a bit of the sport.

Lake 1 for instance the fish spent most of the week down the one arm, the ‘Snags’ side, Lake 2, seemed like the majority of fish were in the comers of the lake. 3 – 4 – 5 no problems!!
Again this week a lot of the catch reports have not been handed back in for Lakes 1 and 2.

Zen’s seen a preview of the soon to be released “Dreamlake Brochure” on DVD in HD, he said it’s the nuts especially the bits with him in it. There’s also a feature on the lakes with Rael and Joe Morgan hints and tips in this months edition of “Carp News” (Oct)!! Zenon reckons he could be the new Ray Winstone (well he is fat enough) and Barty would give that Louie Spence a run for his money, and he would probably beat him in a fist fight too!!

Barty’s had to cry off work this week, he has been hit up the arse in his car, quite badly as well it seems, luckily our old mate Pat Giddings said he would stay an extra week and help us out down on DL 3-4-5, thanks mate (he didn’t need much persuading either.)

Ercan Ali 44lb Mirror DL1

Lake 1
I’ll start first with the little info I’ve got for Lake 1, “Top Rod” was none other than that old rascal <<< Ercan Ali who set up home in the ‘Snags’ and just happened to find most of the lakes carp population had the same idea, even though the fish were not feeding much this week Ercan still managed to land 31 fish, a dozen 30’s and a brace of 40lbers, going 41lbs and 44lbs on the D.L.Specials and adrenaline, 25kg in total.

Tom Nevill >>> in the ‘Slope’ also on the same baits as Ercan used 20kg to take an 11 fish haul up to 39lbs-2ozs.

Dave Lowe >>> in the ‘Chimneys’ had an even dozen (12) on his Premier Baits, breaking his P.B. three times in a day, with fish of 41lb-3ozs, 43lb-1oz and one of the few biggies out this week a common of 55lbs-7ozs. Nice one Dave!!

Paul Lowe in the ‘3 Steps’ had 4 fish on the Cell.

Shaun Perkins in the ‘Pads’ had 7 fish on the Cell.

Dave Lowe 55.7lb Common DL1

Andy Lowe 39.4lb Mirror DL1

<<< Andrew Lowe ‘Haven’ used 25kg of Cell to take just half a dozen fish, but tells us he had a brilliant time doing it, that goes for all our anglers again this week, you don’t have to catch loads of fish to have a really good time, but it does help!!

Steve Jarvis ‘Beach’ had 4 fish up to 41lbs on his Tuna baits.

Young Ryan Went >>> ‘Deer Dip’ had 5 fish on his Adrenaline baits.

(When fish are all down one bit what can you do!!)

Adrian Crocker >>> ‘West Point’ had a 9 fish catch top 2 being mirrors of 41lb-10ozs and 48lb-13ozs on the New Grange.

Craig Hendry >>> in peg 12 managed to pip the last 3 with 10 fish (no other info.)

Pasha >>> in peg 6 had 9 fish out up to 42lbs-5ozs on his infinity baits. Sorry Pasha could not read your writing mate (fancy being named after a club in Ibiza) I was named after a tin of varnish (Matt.)

Bailiff's Diary: September 2010
w/e 17th September

Reasonable temperatures for a change. As autumn approaches us again, little bit of rain.

Quite a lot of good sized fish, but on the whole rather slow, as ever the Cell boilies accounting for most fish.

For some strange reason I only seem to have a few catch report forms returned from the Lakes 1 and 2, seems like half a dozen or so from 2, don’t know what’s gone wrong there? They should have all been collected.

Rich Forty 51.8lb Common DL1

Bailiff's Diary: September 2010
w/e 10th September

What a nice start to the week Sat, Sun and Monday, rest of the week was overcast, with changeable winds.

The lakes fished well again, 3 being a bit slower than normal. Good amount of fish caught, lots of people beating the Personal Bests. A few of the lads their first time over needed a bit of encouragement to put their bait in. Speaking of bait, this time of the year the fields around are being harvested so you will see a few vermin about, so keep those air dried bags of bait in a bucket overnight or they will be nibbled at!!

Martin Boreham 43lb 10oz Common DL2

<<< Martin Boreham peg 25 had 10 fish inc. a 39lb grassie and a 43lb common as well on Cell.

Next door in 26 was our old mucker Simon Hale >>> who also managed 10 fish as well, on the Cell.

The other lads further down were none other than that Ian Hearsum, young Aarron and their mate Zen, to be honest they had too much room and did not know where to fish.

In the end they spread themselves out over half of the bank, lots of bait and slack or no lines brought the carp back into the area. Opposite was young Darnell and his Granddad, however the lads up from pegs 1 – 10 were caning it most days.

Mind you those 3 didn’t do too bad in the end Zen had 21 or 22 fish inc. a 41lb and a 43lb-4oz both mirrors on Cell and Plum. Aarron ended up with 29 plus 2 x 40lbers and that other bloke Ian, I think they called him, the one who lost his bevy in the lake had 19 fish plus 2 x 40’s I haven’t got the exact weights as they did not finish off their catch report forms.

Simon Palmer>>> peg 1 took 20 fish up to 43lbs on Cell.

Rev Quittance peg 2 had 9 fish on the Cell.

Then there was the “Brumbies” lad’s crew, Paul Welsh >>> in 3 ad 8 fish up to 58lbs on the Cell or Opal.

Andy Winall peg had 14 fish inc. a 41lb grassie, a 41lb mirror, than a 47lb common on the Cell and New Grange.
