Do
remember that we can only take Euros at the lakes lodge,
so make sure you get a few quids worth before you leave,
or on the ferry guys, that’s if you fancy a few beers
during your holiday!
Matt
tells me a lot of people, because of the success of the Cell,
have been buying 10kgs of the D.L.Specials “tigernut”,
chopping or using Korda “Krusha’s”, then
using the Cell dips or the Condensed Coconut Syrups to flavour
them up, making
them a slightly cheaper version of the Cell, but just as
effective. A Cell dumbbell on the hook completes
the set-up. So if you didn’t order the Cell for your
trip, you can now quite effectively change from whatever
to the Cell style, and possibly catch a few more fish as
well!!

Issue 5
Hooks etc.
Don’t
forget to change that hook after every carp, can’t
tell you that enough, it’s a small price to pay, as
your next fish could be the fish of a lifetime. At best
it works out at 35p per hook. Some of the lads have been
using
drop off leads, and landing a lot of their fish, but to me
that’s a bloody expensive way of fishing. I begrudge
paying the £1.20p or £1.40p per 3-4oz
lead as it is, let alone losing one every fish. With a new
hook added it brings these lads up to nearly £2 for
each fish, worth it, if you can afford it.
I’m
nearly in tears if I lose my Korda safe zone leader bomb,
hook etc, that’s getting on for nearly £7 every
time you lose your terminal tackle. Mind you I used to risk
life and limb when I was younger, just to get my favourite
float back, and probably still would.
