Bailiffs Diary: Week 1 - W/E 04/04/15
Yet another season is upon us, they come round really fast and there’s always so much to do in the close season, but as ever we managed to get it all done. We start the season off at half-capacity just to take the pressure off the lads and so the fish used to the hustle and bustle. The weather didn’t really play ball, as it rained for a few days with the temps rarely hitting 15 degrees – still, there were a fair few fish caught as ever.
Lake 1
We kept this closed, just two bailiffs on there this week.
Dave Smedley in ‘The Beach’ ended the week with a total of 30 fish including five forties of 47lbs-8ozs, 47lbs-4ozs, 47lbs-8ozs, 47lbs-4ozs and 48lbs-12ozs, the last two were mirrors, plus a brace of fifty-pound fish of 51lb and 54lbs-8ozs.
Rael Bojko moved around a bit fishing in the ‘Snags’, ‘3 Steps’ and ‘Cherries’ swims to be rewarded with a 24 fish haul including six forties - topped by a common of 53lbs-8ozs! All caught on the Cell Balanced Wafters.

Lake 2
Alan Layton in Peg 8 had a 13 fish catch including four forty-pound fish of 48lbs-8ozs, 45lb, 43lb and 42lbs-6ozs on 15kgs of the Cell.

Sam Childs in Peg 2 had seven fish up to 53lbs-10ozs again on the Cell.
Steve Page fished in Pegs 16 and then 21 for a total of 11 fish - including three forties of 41lb, 43lb and 46lbs all caught on the Cell or Essential IB Balanced Wafters.

Mark Kemp in Peg 6 had eight fish including three forty pounders of 44lb, 45lb and 48lbs topped by a 50lb common!
Chris Moore in Peg 16 had ten fish out, including four forty-pounders on the Scopex.
Danny Murray in Peg 7 had 11 fish including five over forty - 40lb, 40lb, 42lb, 42lbs and 44lbs, plus three fifty-pound carp - 51lbs, 52lbs and 54lbs on Cell and jaffa.
